It's Friday again already!

The days and weeks are passing in a whirlwind this year!

Once again it's Friday, the muffins were cooked and gobbled up (yuuuuuummyy banana!), the coffee ladies came - drank - debated and departed for their homes and loved ones..... Today they were planning a sneak attack on the local nursing home to see if they could free one of the coffee club members from the confines of the dementia unit at least long enuff to join them again for coffee on Friday mornings!

Terry the Terror was collecting signatures for a petition against the ever-rising electricity charges and every customer that entered the shop was chased around the room until they signed.... I forged at least three signatures of current and departed loved ones (in the interest of saving us all from price hikes!)

There were mutterings and mumblings about the arrival or failure to arrive of the long awaited automatic fuel station but I was too busy fluffing muffins to hear where the project is now..... although there were some whisperings about the local community company purchasing the land and completing the project!!! interesting!!

Speaking of fluffing.... Fluffy Bottoms wandered in with the husband to let me know how the new house was progressing. Apparently the chickens are in and comfy and being looked after by Bruce the Rooster! The rest of the belongings are still being unpacked but all in all things are moving along well.

On a very sad note... three elderly residents have passed away this week and being a superstitious horror I was warning everyone to "be careful and not sit still too long" because I only heard about two and didn't want one of my "customers or regulars" to be the third (of course I would be overjoyed if "King Rat Kenny Boy" dropped dead tomorrow!!!). Every sentence was ended with "touch wood" until someone remembered the third person had already come and gone at the beginning of the collection! God I am mad!!

I have finally finished squiggling (stippling) the queen size quilt for the order and now will spend the rest of weekend handsewing the binding on. But I must admit it looks really, really nice!

The quilt covers from China are also on their way and due to land in Oz in 6 days!!! THEN I will be busy as hell making my speciality quilts in time for the local show!

I am doing my best to sell things in the shop... clearing the deadwood and toss a bargain or two around! For the past week... whatever people ask for.... whether it is stock or a fixture... it's gone!!! LOL

I am just waiting for a memory card for my camera to arrive then I can photo more stock and get some items listed in here for sale... fixing THIS online shop is my next project!!! "At long farking last" says Supergeek!!

"The Cook" is also counting the days until she returns to the womb of Quilter's Playground..... she has been "lost" for six months and we all look forward to her return!!! The Boop is getting her Mojo back too so give it a few more weeks and maybe we will all be back together where we belong and doing what we all love to do!!!! oh yes.... sewing too!!!! LOL

It's ANZAC week so hopefully tomorrow night I will be able to brag about the delicious ANZAC biscuits that I am making for the shop!!!

night all... bookwork and quilting wait for no man... or fuggly old woman!!!
