"Memories & Mayhem"

OMG!! look how long it has been since I had a moment to log into my little webworld here!

Unfortunately we have had a bit of a run of illnesses and overbusy schedules the past two months and insanity is looking like a reasonable option!!

But at long last things are slowly starting to level out and there is a faint light at the end of the tunnel.... way way way down thataway!!

The Mother in law has popped a couple of tiny heartattacks and now needs 24 hour care if she is to stay at home so the kids and me are taking turns sleeping over at her place each night... it has taken quite a while (felt like forever!) to get the pills right and the routines happening but now that the school buses are back and the grandkids have finished their holidays we are slipping back into our regular activities. The old girl has settled with a good set of pills at last and had her "shots" and accepted that we will be under her feet all the time now and she is looking much better.

It has been a season of big changes and every day my kids pop up with another major life change!! At this rate I dunno if I will get time to squeeze in a life change or two for myself!! You can guess that any disturbance is a prime reason to hit the chocolate fridge and the wonderfully buttery Vegemite sandwiches (for me anyway!!) and my waistline and ever expanding butt is evidence of my shameful behaviour!! I thought about the Tai Chi DVD and the Belly Dancing DVD and even bloody Zumba!! but thinking was as far as I got!

I PROMISE to start a diet and exercise program NEXT week!! LOL

Did I ever mention that I have finally given up men forever??? I dunno if it was getting totally screwed over by that lying con man Ken Murray and his harem of women or if it's just menopause reaching its peak but I have no inclination whatsoever to even chat up a bloke (let alone do anything else with one!!!) and I totally enjoy sleeping alone now!!! I now fully understand the total pleasure men get from being able to fart and burp in bed without anyone making snide remarks or clever comments!!!! AND... when you sleep alone you can stretch all over the bed!!! and hog both sides of the electric blanket AND all the doona!!

I read our stars last weekend and they warned that huge changes are coming for just about everybody as some great cosmic alignment changes for the first time in a huge number of years. And they were right.......

The daughter has come to terms with her cheating ex and finally settled into her new life with the kids and is making "dad" spend quality time with the kids... no matter how much he kicks and screams (or the new GF complains and whinges!! LOL)

The Mother in law has had "family supervision" forced on her and changed her lifestyle...

The Boy has quit his job at IGA to come home and look after his grandmother full time (and me most of the time!!) because he is worried about the pair of us floundering around out here all alone....

The Tattoed One rang last night to tell me he is considering leaving his 60 hour a week job and getting something with more reasonable hours so that he can spend some time with his kids before he works himself to death.....

Pitty Pat has upped stakes and moved to parts unknown and left a bit of a gap in our "group"...

The Boop has had a long running spate of grandkids and kids with illnesses and worries and just generally taking up all her time so that she hasn't embroidered a bloody thing in longer than any of us can remember! But she swears she will be back at her machine next week ... hmmmmmmmmmm

Joycey cook extraordinaire has also been preoccupied for months and months with 50th birthdays, kids and grandkids and now a brand new little Budha up in QLD. She was forced into the workforce for 6 months but we were all relieved when she escaped the nine to five drudgery and came back to the "shop" after a seriously long absence...

My ex husband no. 1 is spending way too much time in town now while he visits to help look after his mother... so I try to keep away from anything sharp when he is within arms length!

Ex husband no. 2 has started "chatting" to me lately with very strange and sorta sad little emails about missing the "kids" after all these years of total silence on his part!!! Dunno what is going on there!!

Oh well.. it's 2am and I have to get some sleep before coming back for work in the morning....

Just wanted to see if my little website was still here...
